Fire and Ice. Dark winter days and bright midnight suns. Restless Geysers and placid lakes. Cold climate and warm people. Unending white snowscapes and lush green meadows. Blue lagoons and black mountains. Goofy Puffins and Graceful Horses. Fact and Fantasy. Soaring fjords and barren highlands. Still seas and Dancing Auroras. With a landscape that changes with every turn of the road, Iceland is a country of contrasts, where you can journey to the center of the earth…and yet, stay on top of the world.

Among many distinctive attractions of Iceland, Blue Lagoon is most well known and truely unique. Lying 30 miles south west of Reykjavik city, the Blue Lagoon is actually a man-made geo-thermal waterbody that offers a complete spa experience for its visitors. Set in a lava field, the mineral rich hot water has a surreal phosphorescent aquamarine color caused by the therapeutic ecosystem of algae, silica and minerals in the water. It also houses a luxurious health spa where visitors are pampered and treated for skin ailments like eczema and psoriasis.
Located on the river Hvítá and fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjokull, Gullfloss also known as the ‘Golden Falls’ is the most famous waterfall of Iceland. Because of the sediments it carries, the glacial water of Gullfloss appears brownish and on a sunny day, the water plunging down the three step staircase and then tumbling down two more steps into a 32 meter deep crevice truly looks golden.
Everything was very well organized. There were people waiting at the airport for us when we landed. They gave us a sim card which was reasonable for calling India and very helpful. There was someone to assist us whenever required. The villa was very comfortable with neat and spacious rooms. We had no issues at all on the whole trip. The visa was easy to get. It was a very nice place to visit and great experience. Thanks a lot for everything."
